Life at Oldfield Bank

We like to give our residents as much choice as possible. With your own comfortable room to relax in, there is plenty of space to do your own thing. But we also have a lovely lounge, a sunny conservatory and our beautifully landscaped gardens where residents can socialise.

Residents are free to come and go as they wish for as long as they are safe to do so. We also encourage visits from family and friends who are welcome to pop in at any time.

Activities and days out

We know that keeping active – both mind and body – is important for a fulfilled life. We therefore make sure there is plenty for our residents to do. There are activities on offer every day, including one to one activities with our friendly team. We arrange days out for residents to enjoy a trip to the local shops, theatre or a summer picnic.

We are very lucky to welcome outside entertainment, like talented singers, from time to time. The visiting pet therapy sessions are always a hit!

We encourage all our residents to continue doing whatever they have enjoyed before joining us. If you used to attend a local club, we will do our utmost to make sure you can still get there.

Meals

Residents enjoy homemade, nutritious meals here at Oldfield Bank. We give residents a choice of meals and make note of any particular likes or dislikes! We can cater to different dietary requirements. We like to get feedback from residents as much as possible and build our menus accordingly.

We have a lovely dining room and encourage residents to join us there for lunch and dinner. It’s a great opportunity to socialise. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room, in your own room, or elsewhere if you prefer.

We have been awarded a top food hygiene rating of 5 by the Food Standards Agency.

Visiting services

We are lucky to have a number of additional services which visit the home on a regular basis including a hairdresser, reflexologist and chiropodist.
